I'm an Army brat. Spent half my life in Washington, D.C., half in Colorado. For most of my teens and 20's, I was trying to figure out whether I was Iranian or American. Well, ironically, I realize now that it doesn't matter since I'm probably far more liberal than the norm for either culture. On the educational front, I've been in school most of my life, taking the scenic route, trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Destined to be a medical doctor (big surprise), I spent my undergrad hanging out in the music department pretending to be a premed student (:-)...inevitably went to medical school but had a change of heart and started over in psychology. I just completed an M.S. in Psychology, M.P.H. in Health Promotion, and am finally finishing up my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. When I'm not working my ass off, I escape to the local salsa dance spot where I dance my ass off (not literally unfortunately!). I'm officially a salsaholic.
