I've been stuck in Baghdad the last two weeks doing nothing and it is driving me bonkers! However, I had the opportunity to go to a local clinic today to visit with the children who were waiting to be seen by the doctor.

       I've spent a lot of time on the phone with my son the last week. He is a very mature 4 year old and never ceases to amaze me. He has left me speechless a few times in the past and now let's just add one more time to it....

  I finally made it into Iraq! It took 7 days to get into Kuwait from the States because of plane issues and weather delays, but we made it safely. What memories we made being stuck in those airports....

     Ugh! In preparation for my rapidly approaching deployment, I've had to receive several shots and have  several tubes of blood drawn. Honestly, I feel as if I am a lab rat in a top secret government facility! Majority of the shots I received were rather tolerable. However, there were a few I wish I could have done without.
