Iraq today is a land of contrasts — mostly black and blacker. Traveling around the central Baghdad area the past few days, I saw little that really gave me hope that the different Iraqi sects can forge a social contract to live together. The only sliver of optimism I find here is in the one region where Iraqis don’t live together: Kurdistan.

* you think that the Turks are the most amazing race on the face of the earth and everyone is jealous of us and try to destroy us
*you feel some kind of tension whenever you are around Greeks, Kurds or Armenians
*You know the entire history of Turkey for the past 1000 years
*Even if you are not Turkish, listening to a Turk talk about their country makes u a patriot of Turkey!
*You always complain about the Turkey's economic and political issues but never let anyone else to talk about
*You are 1000000000000% sure that the Turks invented kebabs, moussaka, baklava and dolma (not the Greeks lol)
