Influential Business Books

Here are some books that have shaped by business/technology skills over the years. Many of them, like Drucker, Mackay, Toffler, and Covey were recommended from my father. The one Drucker book I have is actually an original from 40 years ago. Over the years I know there have been many more books than this, but I tend to give them away. I also had a huge collection of programming and database books that I got rid of a while ago.

Hipster Olympics

If anyone lives in the trendy "up and coming" neighborhoods within some US cities this will be hilarious. It probably defines most of my friends and where I lived in Philadelphia (Northern Liberties ) for five years.

RetaileMeNot: Coupon Codes

Ever book something online and see that coupon field and just wonder... someone must have one that I can use? I just stumbled on a site that is about that exactly. Just used it for 50% off Amtrak tickets. Check it out, hope you can find some use for it.

Blackberry Email

I just bought the Blackberry 8800 on At&T. I use the exchange (enterprise) server for email so all of my computers are always in sync. It took some time to figure out all of the settings, but I just found a nice article that explains most of my questions. I figured I would pass it on.

Shark Fishing

I went fishing with my bro last week and we caught two sharks. It was awesome. I never thought we would catch anything like that, but it was really cool bringing it in. This was off the coast of South Jersey in Sea Isle.

Tesla, Impressive Electric Car

Out of all the hybrid, hydrogen, electric, and low/no emmissions vehicles this one is by far the most impressive. It's the first electric car (that I know of) with performance in mind. 0 - 60 in 4 Seconds!!

Ringtone that adults cannot hear

I was watching a recent L&O episode where the kids were using very high frequency ringtones that adults could not hear. It blew me away and I decided to look it up. See if you can hear it. I couldn't unless I turned the volume all the way up.

Amazing Story

I just saw this on the front of Yahoo.com. Two people reunited after 65 years of separation from the Holocaust. Her grandsons helped find her brother over the Internet. Such an incredible, but sad, story.
