3rd Graders Plotting to Harm Teacher?

When I heard and read this news report I was floored.  Third graders (9 and 10 year olds) plotting to harm their teacher because she scolded one of them for standing on a chair.  Where are their parents?  What are their parents teaching them?  Who is to blame for their behavior?

Why me?

I ask this question a lot because I want to know "why me" - why can't a decent man be found?  Why must I work so hard?  Why must I do everything?  Why do so many people rely on me?  Why can't I get ahead?  Pick something and I will undoubtly ask "why me"?
