I went into Barnes & Noble the other day to pick up the May issue of Playboy that had a special tribute to Anna Nicole Smith ... you see, when I was in Iran a month ago all of my family kept asking me who this Anna Nicole was??? Why is she all over CNN and every other news network?? So I picked up the issue to take with me when I go back to Iran this summer ... well, that and because I was curious to see what all the fuss truely is about ... Hey girls, the guys really are telling you the truth when they say they look at Playboy for its articles ...
"Yeah right" you might say but it's true ... the first article of interest that caught my eye was titled Sex In Iran... it was all about the scandal that took place last year when a popular Iranian TV actress' ex-boyfriend made copies and distributed DVD's of them having sex together ... they have dubbed Ms. Ebrahimi as the "Paris Hilton" of Iran ... apparently the video sold $4 million copies and the actress denies that it was her in the flick ...
pick yourself up a copy of the issue ... it's quite interesting :-) and the pictures aren't half bad either ;-)

Well believe me no matter it was really her on the video or anybody else, she's got the fame!
While the series was on air, noone even knew her real name as she was more known by the name of the character she was acting as which was Zohreh. Even the sex tape was being sold in the streets as 'Filme Zohreh'! This had two reasons: second(!), her role was as a second supporting actress. First(!), the first actress 'Poopak Goldarreh' died in a car accident before the shooting for this series was finished and its broadcasting was and so they had to finish some final episodes with another actress.
This is our showbiz in Iran. People get to know you only if something hard happens to you, consider a death on top of all! This sexual thing only would make you famous if it is inside Iran, unless, would not bring you fame at all.
Let's give you a sexual example! In iran, almost nobody has heared the name of the Iranian-Spanish-American actress who acts as Carmen de la Pica Morales in the series 'The L Word'. Her name is Aahoo Jahansouzshahi, also known as Sarah Shahi. I guess maybe the one and only creature out of the Qajar dinsaty who knows about her must be pervert me! Sex, her lesbian roles, the sexy series and all don't bring her fame at all cause it is sex outsde of Iran. Not interesting at all! She'll be famous and well known, and copies of the series will be distributed nationwide only if something hard happens to her, again put a hot death on top of all!!!!

Thanks for sharing Hossein ... by the way, what was the name of the serial that was playing during NoRooz ... it was really funny ... one of the actors is also the director and screenplay writer ... Fogholadeh Aalee Bood!!! everybody was rushing home to watch ... funny sight seeing all the family from age 6 to age 68 siting around the TV watching this show till midnight everynight ... LOL
that's the one thing I enjoy seeing when I visit Iran ... it's the innocent things that entertain people ... TV shows, going to the park even if it is late night, sitting around talking & drinking tea, etc...
