Forever Wonder
I am a child of wonder, a brown-eyed girl of curiosity,
Traveling with the tides and gales.
I am a traveler for numerous years,
A history fanatic with a passion for the past.
As i wander through massive, mysterious corridors,
History engulfs me, surrounds me,
Drowns me in fascination and discovery.
I am a witness to life's mysteries,
An examiner of truths, a spectator of past lives.
I strive to see history live, not withing golden frames,
Mounted on stone walls.
Dancing colors enthrall me.
Forgotten languages mesmerize me.
Antique treasures captivate me.
I am not a historian. I learn from their knowledge.
I am not an explorer. I admire what they have found.
I am not history. One day I shall be but not yet.
I travel along meandering rivers.
I stroll through the bustle of the metropolitans.
I am no longer a child, yet I still wonder.
