Very powerful indeed. I used to spend time with an autistic boy, he was one of the charges I worked with. I remember the experience of being in communication with him, and it wasn't word, unless it was puppets. I called him sweet pea and every time he saw me he would smile and say sweetpea. I found him quite enjoyable company which was strange for the other workers since it was a common thing for them to quit after a violent episode. In two years I never saw one violent episode, some say it's luck, I never felt that way. We just enjoyed being together.
