Don't trust people that no "bad" in them, or who try to appear that way.
Don't trust people that seem to have nothing but honey and joy and sunshine all the time.
A real person is constantly faced with challenges and choices that affect others. And accepts that in life you can't live without causing someone some sort of grief.
And, yes, that includes Mother Theresa, I'm sure she was a naughty brat when she was a little girl (looks up .. no dark clouds yet.. no gathering static electricity.. at least not yet.. ).
However, do trust people that laugh wildly, are chatterboxes, do random acts of kindness and unkindness, lie every once in a while, admit they lie every once in a while, dole out punishments, ask forgiveness.
If nothing else, they are predictable, its like going to McDonalds, the food might be unhealthy, but it is predictable.
If you can find in them a friend, they may still betray you, but hopefully unintentionally.
