Socrates was married to Ksanthipi, a very difficult and wayward woman. They say that she had a bad character and made Socrates suffer from her hard behavior. But the truth is that she was a little right for what she did. As we know Socrates never took money from his students because he believed that he was sent to earth to help poeple find the truth. That is why he always said that he sould not have been married and it was a mistake having a family since he could not afford the necessary things for the children and his wife. Socrates had three children and his wife Ksanthipi always complained that he does nothing for them. One day Socrates was in the street with his students talking with them. Then Ksanthipi appeared and start  shouting at him that he is good for nothing, he is worthless, don't care about his family, his children are starving.... and so on... Socrates did not pay any attention to her. He continue with teaching his students. then Ksanthipi  got mad and she took a jar fool of water and through it on Socrates making him wet !!!! Then Socrates stayed calm and said in a philosophical way: After the thunder comes the rain...!!!!
