The U.S. Presidential Election

With the world nearing closer and closer to a state of crisis what is it that America needs in it's next Commander In Chief?

In my humble opionion the United States of America needs a dramatic change of course and direction.  It seems to me that the current sub-prime crisis has created during the mortgage boom of the Clinton 90's.  We are facing a Republican nominee who states that he will stay the Bush course. That leaves only one alternative - Illinois Senator Barrack Obama.

One of my favorite law school professors used to rant, "throw the rascals out!"  America has been under the seeming hereditary rule of the Bushes and the Clinton's since 1980.  With all due respect to Senators Clinton and McCain it is time to let the aptly qualified and polished former Harvard Law review editor get his shot.  This is not one that is going to rattle his intellectual cage on the world stage, nor will he be out-talked.  He seeks to reinvigerate the American Dream by giving a new direction and a new hope.  A world without glass-ceilings and where honesty, hard work and perserverance are rewarded.

That is the America that was romanticed for me in Martin Luther King's, "I Have a Dream Speech."  That is my dream and with my vote I shall cast a ballot for change.

More to come.  I welcome your thoughts on the subject.
