"What do you really possess?"

What do you really possess,
and what have you gained?
What pearls have you brought up
from the depth of the sea?
On the day of death,
bodily senses will vanish:
do you have the spiritual light
to accompany your heart?
When dust fills these eyes in the grave,
will your grave shine bright?

Luvcomforter,

This is a question I have pondered for many years.  We are here to develop our being, this we do thru our experiences and seeing thru the illusions we have of ourselves and our world. There are things I have experienced in this life, and some of them have been incorporated into my being. Other thinggs I've aquired are the beliefs about others experience, belief in the knowledge of others that I have personally no know knowledge of,  all I have is the belief of it. I can believe any and all things but a belief remains a belief until it is my experience. I may believe I am kind and loving and yet where this is a contradiction within me I will search it out to see what I am. Rather than just allowing my beliefs to override with falsity that which is my experience.

When I was 20, I asked the question, if I left this world and was only able to take that which is me, not what I've aquired thru teaching of others, what would be left of me? I felt like a hollow shell, and that experience of seeing myself as empty has stayed with me and perhaps it is that experience that has caused my continuous curiosity to discover myself and others regardless of what I believe.

Life!

Whoa gin u seem like u have alot of experience and alot to share, i ain't mind learning am always open to learning...  I fully understand what you saying no matter what someone may  or ask me who I'm i does say to them, I'll experience it myself and let my actions and my words judge me... Then you'll know who i am, we should acquire knowledge through experience and wisdom to use what we have learn for the better..
Well i also ask myself this question all the hassle and bustle everyone is about to get wealthy and live on top, yes all that is wonderful but while at it keep yourself pure work hard to accomplish what u have so you'll truly be fulfilled. You shall be free at death.. ..
