The Magic Haircut!

Only a couple of weeks ago everything seemed to be going down the tubes.  My life was in shambles and I just couldn't get out of it.  I was numb.  Instead of work, I'd rather read a book.  I really didn't want to design, work, talk or do anything.  Some might call it depression, I call it lack of inspiration for life.  Granted this was only regarding my work/financial life.  And I know the negativity permeates to your personal life too, and it did a little, but I only really felt this way about my professional and artistic life.  Coming home was a pleasure, and I just wanted to stay around the wife and the kids.  When it came to even talking to a client...arrgghhh..it was dreadful.  Until the magical day...

.. I was hanging at my local coffee shop, the same one I've been practically living at for the past 8 years.  My buddy who cuts my hair at the salon next door showed up.  We talked and then I asked him if he would clean up my  hair.  My hair was down to my shoulders and I was  a bit tired of it too..so i went and sat down and he preped his stuff.

But then something weird happened.  As soon as he started cutting my hair, I physically felt lighter..my soul started charging up..and the more he'd cut the lighter and brighter I would get.  It was like I was plugged into an outlet and I was getting charged.  by the end of the hair cut I was flying.  Talking faster, standing straighter and so on..
but that's not just the wierd thing.. other than the dark 6 month cloud that was over me was lifted.. my business started taking off right that minute.  My phone started ringing...out of the blue, and opportunity after opportunity came along that day.  I ran into people who I had not seen for years that were offering me work, a HUGE contract that I had just pitched half-assly came through and closed.  I even wanted to design and paint again..
A week later, I have my financials back in order, I have started a new artist social network that's just taking off like crazy (see last post) and I'm stoked to be alive everyday.  I'm awake again.  And that's the story of the Magic Hair Cut.  Love love..

As you said at the beginning of this blog you were not inspired. If you look at the word inspired you will see it is combination of two words. IN and SPIRIT.

I hope everybody will always be in spirit and inspired. Have an in spirit experiment at all times.
