Did replacing the Drachma with the Euro strengthen or weaken the Greek economy?

Will produce a usual effect as always, I think. In the short term, Euro will weaken the economy. Yet, in the long-term, I'm sure, it will make economy stronger. :)

I believe that replacing the Drachma with the euro was a terrible mistake. First of all we lost a part of our Hellenic history. And as for the economy?.... it is getting worse and worse.

It strengthened it much avoiding the continuous devaluation of drachma towards all the major hard currencies, made the economy more stable and our life easier when we travel aborad ... Greece enjoys now been in the club of the most powerful European economies (Eurozone) and faces more relieved the oil crisis (see what happens to USD and imagine what would be now the currency exchange for drachma) and the low interest banking rates (even if we cry for the continuous interest rate increases at 4.5% etc. we remember that we paid 36$ in the past) ...
