For so many years of my life, I was SEARCHING. Searching for someone to love me, a better job, cuter closes, fewer pounds, sincere friends, material possessions, happiness and GOD. The amazing part is that all of the things I sought were nothing if I could only find God.
So, how shocking is it that just when I had run out of places to look for all of these things that I desired, I happened to glance within myself only to discover that God was right there, within me, all along. He was just waiting for me to pay attention so that I could hear what he had to say.
When we are AWARE of God's presence not only within ourselves, but within EVERY SINGLE PERSON we encounter, regardless of what their behavior would have us believe, we find that we have EVERYTHING that we have been seeking. No, a man with a million dollars and a mansion will NOT appear instantly on the front yard, but suddenly there is peace and contentment and love that you never thought you would have and that you already had all along. Every moment is suddenly precious and DIVINE and worth the experiences and the lessons that we encounter on a daily basis!
Today I give thanks to God for leading me to all that my heart truly desired by showing me all that was already within me.
Thanks God, and So it is!
