Nothing enters into my experience but joy, integrity, and friendship. I refuse to hold grudges. All the good I would realize for myself I realize for others as well; I do not deny myself the good I affirm for others. I forgive as I want to be forgiven. I know that in the household in which I live the host is God, the living Spirit Almighty; the guests are all people; the invitation has been eternally written for all to enter and dwell therein in peace and harmony, as the guests of this Eternal Host forever. - Dr. Ernest Holmes
It always surprises me, but also makes perfect sense that these affirmations often seem to be written especially for me and my life experience on any given day. I think this is because of life always being in Divine Order, but also because these lessons are Universal. At any given time, we are all working on the same lessons, just at different levels.
Today, we are focusing on the GOODNESS and GODNESS in every interaction. No matter how it APPEARS, everything we experience is GOOD. Even when we cry, when we feel that we are being besieged by dishonesty and deception, when our world feels as though it is filled with those that would do us harm. When we step outside of the ‘illusions’ of this world, we find TRUTH.
We see that those tears were a part of the ultimate joy of the presence and being of the Divine. Sometimes to see the full beauty of the sun, we have to wash our windows so that there is no dust or grime standing between us and THE LIGHT. So on some level, our tears are like a spiritual window cleaner. We see that when we TRULY LISTEN with our hearts and our spirits, we find that beyond the dishonesty and deception our human selves perceived, we can hear the truth of another spirit striving to find a place where they fit. What we see as negativity is another soul reaching for their place of peace, sometimes blindly navigating, because they have not yet found the light. So they fumble about and misstep, but at their core, they too are God and we must see that in them above all else. Finally, all of God’s children are friends. They may not behave in the manner we would ‘want’ our friends to behave, but that’s not our concern. We love and behave with them as we would with all other friends. Because those who feel most distant are often those that need the light of God’s love most and it is within us to share that light with them, even in the moments when they run from the light, like a mole terrified by this new experience of ‘light’ in their lives.
God has placed us all here. We are all abiding in his home and just as a parent desires for their children to get along and stand together, the same is what God desires for us. He loves us all equally and hence, we must do the same. Since as move from this life into the next, we will continue in one another’s company into eternity.
Life is Good and Life is God, so for that I am thankful!
