I think what Malcolm was expressing and what he had expressed in other venues is less about race than it is about religion or state of mind. I dont see it as him having a change of mind. what he was demonstrating was that there is a solution to Americas race problem and the perfect example of that solution was demonstrated to him during hajj when he saw the power that al Taqwa (in Islamic religion, "god consciousness") has to get people to realize what connects us instead of what sets us apart. Malcolm always maintained his theoretical position that the mind state, the mentally of the white man in America is that of the devil. he never retracted that........
