Atlantis... the key of Hellenic (greek) Mythology!

3000 books  have been written about Atlantis! Some poeple say it is a myth, others it was real. I believe (and... I know for sure..) that Atlantis was not a myth. It realy existed. And i agree with those who say that it's place was in the Atlantic ocean. What is your opinion? Do you believe that Atlantis is real or a myth?
P.S:  Read the dialogues of Plato " Timeo" and  " Kritia" . All the information you need about Atlantis is in there....

What mythological creature are you?

Olympus

As the name of our neighborhood is dedicated to Mount Olympus let's talk a bit about it.

Argonautic Campaign

The story goes like this:  Pelias, the King of Iolkos (near the city of Volos, today), ordered prince Jason to go to Colchis (near Mt.Kaukasus by the Black Sea) to bring the Golden Fleece. Jason recruited the greatest heroes, like Hercules, Orpheus, Telamon, Peleas (father of Achilles) etc. They builded the famous ship of Argo and after many adventures they reached Colchis. Aehetis, The King of Colchis, refused the give them the Golden Fleece. So they stole it with the help of Medea, daughter of Aehetis. They took the Fleece and Medea and went back to Iolkos, where Jason became a King....

Cerberus

Charon

Persephone

Legend has it that she was so beautiful that the God of the underworld fell in love with her and spirited her down to Hades. She is a somewhat melancholy Goddess, yearning to be free of the underworld, but doomed to spend half the year there. When she does escape, the world comes alive again. In Greece, all the spring flowers are white, so she is mostly white except for her hair. Being the daughter of Zeus, she has long dark hair and brown eyes.

Hades

King of the Underworld

Grendel

Yucky little thing isn't it?  Called one of three antagonist in the poem Beowulf and is feared by all but Beowulf. Grendel is a monster descended from Cain, the first of pure evil, thus making Grendel a curse of God to begin with. In Beowul,  Grendel invades Heorot, the mead-hall of the Danes, and makes it uninhabitable. Beowulf leaves Geatland  to defeat the monster bare-handed and succeeds by ripping his arm off in a brawl, causing him to bleed to death in his gloomy cave home.

Question: If Grendel was a monster how the hell could he have a quasi human mother? What the hell was her name?
