The Matrix in Theology ?

Exodus chapter 13 verse 12 – That thou shalt set apart unto the Lord all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the Lord’s.

What does it all mean? I’ve re-read the books of Moses once again, just to see if I could see what the Wachowski brothers envisioned. If it was written in the bible along with the above passage. What if their cinematic dreams were actually taken from scriptures of the bible and we are all living in an alternate existence controlled by one other than GOD?
